Sumario: The present research work had the purpose of performing the simulation in the laboratory of forest fires raised in the Antisana High land and in the Guanguiltagua Metropolitan Park of Quito. From the two study sites, standard samples were taken and samples subjected to a heat treatment to determine the edaphic bacterial groups that are resistant to different temperatures: low severity ranging from 100 to 200 ° C, mean severity from 200 to 400 ° C and high severity from 400 to 700 ° C. The methodology used was based on the collection of the samples of two types of soil, the physical analyzes: texture and humidity, the chemical analyzes: pH and quantification of organic matter, and to determine the percentage of edaphic bacteria resistant to the increase of temperature in the obtained soil samples, a recount was made in depth plate, in which a count was made of the colonies of the microorganisms that develop once inoculated in the appropriate culture medium. The statistical tool that was used is the SPSS to observe if the edaphic bacterial group (dependent variable) is affected by the different temperature ranges in the simulation of forest fires performed in the laboratory and thus determine the effect that the soil has on the different changes of temperature that arise in a forest fire.
