Sumario: The objective of this research explores the social representations about the psychologists´ work from the perspective of children that belong to the catechesis at Cutuglagua church in 2017. It is of interest to search for the social representations that the children present and how are mediated by different agents of socialization. Therefore, interviews were applied to children who made drawings to complement this representation. The results identify the following dimensions: a) informative: some data are obtained from the interviews proposed to the children, what they know about the profession; b) Representative: it is about the image that the children present about the psychologist´ work and c) Attitudinal: the children with the psychologist and their predisposition to be in touch or have an appointment with the professionals. To sum up, the children receive information from different sources and their social representations are going to depend on the agent of socialization, mainly the school and to a lesser extent, the family, and the media.
