The present research project and redesign of the steam distribution network system of FABRILFAME S.A, was developed and proposed with a boiler with a steam supply of 0.126 kg / s.
After the field investigation it was observed that the system has deficiencies of hydraulic and thermal energy.
In order to correct the problems detected within the current system, the respective analysis of each section comprising the steam distribution network was carried out, considering all the losses existing in them.
In addition, the relevant calculations were made dealing with the critical radius of the insulation, resistance by conduction, convection and radiation, percentages of flash steam, hydraulic losses, energy losses by heat transmission, percentage of thermal efficiency and consumption of the equipment that make up the steam distribution network, quantifying the entire amount of heat required, which enabled the redesign of the steam distribution system to be improved, improving the thermal efficiency of the process. |
