Emotional intelligence in children aged 4 and 5 years refers to "the ability to make contact with their own feelings, and to discern and respond to changes in their mood, temperament and own desires and desires from others, according to Goleman (1999). In order to relationships between people are positive, it is important to develop the ability to decode or understand the kind of emotions and feelings that are generated in someone under a given situation. The present study addresses the development of this intelligence on activities to be implemented by the teacher. The work includes a field research to 28 children and 2 teachers. The main results show that more than half of children have difficulty to make friends and to express their opinions and emotions, and about 70% of them do not consider themselves as good children, among other similar problems. |
