The Collective Memory, understood not as a collective exercise of representation
rather than a mnemonic faculty, is one of the most significant and important elements
by which a social group displays and negotiate their identity. The present work
develops in a particular way several aspects of the collective memory of the
neighborhood "El Salto" Latacunga, through the testimonies of former members of
the neighborhood community who have developed a sense of belonging,
highlighting, through the social frameworks for through which collective memory is
fixed, certain elements that are part of the local heritage and inheritance. |
