From black and white TV, we turn to the color TV and we are moving into the digital age: digital terrestrial television, an utopia for many and a real challenge to those who see this technology as a breakthrough typical of modern times. Modernity brought advances both in scientific and technologically. And today, the terrestrial digital television becomes a major challenge in the XXI century, offering highest quality audio and video, interactivity, however, one of the possible consequences of advent of digital television is to encourage individualism, as stated by Giovanni Sartori, author of the book Homo Videns, since states that television has become the nanny of small for its high penetration rate in society. Digital terrestrial television offers an open letter to viewers, that is from our TV can access a variety of programs, online shopping, educational programs, weather conditions, but the problem lies in the quality of the contents, and therefore which, socializing agencies of all matters relating to digital television have a big challenge and more so the mass media are responsible for bringing to television programs with quality and content. |
