Sumario: The country level and the global level new guidelines for a new public policy aimed at confronting drug prevention and control activities are considered, so with the issuance of the new Organic Law of Integral Prevention of the Socio-economic Phenomenon and of Regulation and Control of the Use of Cataloged Substances subject to Inspection creates the Technical Secretariat of Drugs (SETED) attached to the Executive. This new institutional scheme can influence their work performance, which highlighted the need to analyze the performance evaluation processes through the application of the Office Form EVAL-01. From the Head Office of the SETED, during the period 2014 - 2016. The theoretical and methodological references pointed to the importance of considering this tool that allows improving the efficiency of human talent in organizations. The variables determined to assess the status of the performance evaluation were given by: job management, knowledge, technical skills, universal competencies, teamwork, initiative, leadership and citizen evaluation, which provided the statistical information to identify the main causes of the problem, which were represented in the low average of qualifications in several areas of the entity, the lack of interest of the authorities and supervisors in analyzing the average qualification of public servants and the lack of dissemination of results; all this allowed the development of an intervention plan aimed at establishing 6 strategic actions,whose purpose was aimed at mitigating the identified problems.
