Sumario: When it comes about cultivation of fruits, pests and fungi are taken into account, in Ecuador before the product goes out for sale, fruits are proceeded to inspect if they have some appearance of these ones, but one of the most common process to eliminate them are using fungicides. The alternative to used electromagnetic waves for the elimination of fungi was investigated, for this reason an electronic prototype was developed to reduce the population of fungi (Botrytis Cinerea) on fruits. This electronic prototype have one rotary encoder that sends information to one LCD that display the time in minutes and the frequency in GHz, with the frequency, a set value is place for each test, these values are 9, 9.5 or 10 GHz, while for the time values are 20, 100 or 180 minutes. On the LCD exists two buttons, one button is star and the other one is stop, after setting time and frequency whit the encoder, the star button is pressed and the time starts to decrease until it reaches the zero, at that moment, the buzzer makes a sound that indicates that time exposure is over; At the end of irradiation over all examples, it allowed to observe which one have the best results, for this case, it’s during irradiation whit 9.5 GHz for 180 minutes, presents the highest percentage of fungus reduction.
