Sumario: The large amount of data we have available today, lead us to look for Big Data tools that can be used to manipulate large volumes of data. This project analyzes the integration of a repository of medical images in two different phases: Map / Reduce (Hadoop) and Spark, observing the behavior of data storage systems. The methodology used OTASH can be oriented to the analysis of storage capacity and efficiency for the distribution of large-scale data, using free software tools. With the obtained results it is observed that experiment 2 had an improvement of 83.26% compared to experiment 1 that obtained 16.74%. Therefore, it follows that experiment 2 is efficient for information processing.
