Sumario: The work entitled "Act and power and its effects on education" begins with an introduction about the importance of the philosopher Aristotle and his conceptualization of act and potency, that can be applied to any aspect of life at any time, for They are basic concepts about man and the evolution and development of mankind. After a thorough analysis of the Aristotelian postulates the position of philosophers of past addresses and other views such as Thomas Aquinas, Hegel, Parmenides, Heraclitus and Karl Marx, where emphasis makes both those who they were his followers and those who opposed his concepts or modified.
