Accelerated growth in both areas has caused a lack of knowledge by the Priests about the specific needs of the population due to a poor catholic vocation, a conservative vision by church members where population is not a protagonist of its own process, distance between communities, perception about the lack of union inside the church and a lifestyle far from the principles of the Bible.
The role of women inside The Church is increasingly significant and is sustains the educative mission of catholic religion trough several Ministries inside the communities. In Palmira (Chimborazo) and Lucha Alta (Quito), from a catholic and theological perspective, interviews were made with a qualitative, descriptive and participative observation methodology. These interviews were made with the women inside the communities that allowed knowing about the lives and faith around their own reality and establish the part in the church service they assume. |
