The present project about "Gender and styles of Leadership in Political Participation"
was based on a literature research in the city of Quito during the months of April to
August this year and subsequent interview four national assemblymen leaders of one
political movement in order to understand the perceptions that men and women have
about leadership, use and management of power and ways to motivate your workgroup.
Concluding that the notions found were different, some respondents considered
paramount to serve the public while others ethnic identity was important. In addition it
was evident that throughout history women were gaining territory in the private sphere,
especially in the political arena, a fact acknowledged by all respondents, however, some
of them are daily with barriers to their full development in this field. |
