This investigation presents an analysis of the culture and social environment surrounding the live of Maria Chiquinquira, who was an Ecuadorian slave. It consists of three chapters in which the theoretic aspects of communication, the identities, the diverse cultures, the postcolonialism and the negritude are identified. Likewise, it shows data of the socio historic context of the main character, María Chiquinquirá, and finally and analytic text about her life.
Hence, the first part of the work makes reference to the way in which the society receive information from the mass communication media; additionally, it discusses relevant theories described by several distinguished characters in the communication field, and the link between these theories and the culture.
On the second chapter, the concepts, characteristics and differences between the cultural diversity and the multiple identities that human beings construct on their daily interactions are described, in addition to the perceptions and primordial elements associated to the postcolonialism in order to better understand the negritude.
On the third chapter, a diagnostic of the main character’s historic context is presented, characteristic of the colonial system are pointed out, as are the tough conditions that slaves were subjected to.
In the other hand, it identifies main strategies and methods for redacting a journalistic chronicle in order to construct the final text.
To finalize, a journalistic chronic documenting the life of María Chiquinquirá and her battle to conquest her daughert’s and her own freedom is presented.
Furthermore appropriate conclusions are stated at the end of each chapter. |
