The paper presents an investigation about the comic strip, theory and an
extensive understanding of the technic, besides a rich language that goes beyond the
symbolism. The comic strip is more than a drawing that exaggerates specific features,
its structure expresses an event seen from the critics point of view, and delivered to
an audience by a communicative medium.
The comic strip uses tools such body language and facial exprecions, colors and
perspectives that complement the cartoon as a whole. But by being an image it must
contain elements of character that make journalism the gap that separates it from art,
thats where elements such as context, immediacy and the bond with the audience get
involved. |
