Sumario: The increased production of grasslands in Ecuador has necessitated the use of chemical fertilizers, as in the case of commercial urea, which has caused impacts on agricultural land. As an alternative to this chemical fertilizer , developed , tested and characterized a craft biofertilizer made from roots of alfalfa ( Medicago sativa) , White Clover ( Trifolium repens ) and rye grass ( Lolium perenne), which has diazotrophic microbiological activity of bacterial species such as Azospirillum Azotobacter and Pseudomona. Within the field phase an experimental design of randomized complete block with 3 replications, and a total of 30 experimental units was used; these experimental units were subjected to 9 treatments corresponding to bio-fertilizers made with different concentrations of roots (150, 200 and 250 grams) collected at 3 different altitudes (2800-3000; 3000-3200 and 3200-3400 m.s.n.m.) in front of a control treatment. For microbiological experimental part, plantings were made in specific means LG, Nfb and Cetrimida; bacterial species were identified by physical tests and biochemical tests MicroGen®. Laboratory results showed the presence of Azotobacter and Azospirillum by physical evidence and Pseudomonas by physical and biochemical tests; in the field phase, an important difference of 9 treatments together was found compared to the control treatment in zootechnical terms, causing increases in stocking rate of 53% in the mixture Lolium perenne and Trifolium repens, and 8% in Medicago sativa monoculture in the third cut.
