The challenges of next generation wireless
systems such as 5G are those that offer data
services at high speeds, that is why the
arrangement of multiple antennas such as
Massive MIMO is envisaged which, together
with an efficient detection of signals in the
receiver, would allow with this challenging task
Detection schemes such as Matched Filtering
(MF), Zero Forcing (ZF) and Minimum Mean
Square Error (MMSE) are simple and effective
techniques for recovering multiple data streams
transmitted in the receiver. That is why this
document compares the performance of these
detectors for Massive MIMO systems by
applying linear detectors such as MF, ZF and
MMSE in a spatial multiplexing environment.
The results showed that the MMSE receiver
exceeds the ZF and MF receivers for different
modulation schemes. |
