Sumario: This project conducts the investigation of current norms and standards for the development and authentication of the Data Center of Cooperative Construction Trade and Production. Currently, the company lacks of a data system, which is not regulated or built according to current standard specifications. It is noteworthy that this physical space, which has been assigned as a data center, has been implemented with accessories in order to fulfill the needs of the financial institution during its tasks development. The main idea of this project is to provide the design of a Data Center for the Commerce and Production Cooperative Building that suits standard specifications and Data Centers´ specific international standards; thus, it will solve the problems related to space, reliability and security. For this purpose different topics are developed throughout this document, which show general aspects of the entity, the reference mark, the technical proposal under the TIA 942 standard; generic cabling for using the TIA / EIA 568 telecommunications; the analysis of the grounding system according to ANSI / TIA / EIA 607 standard, IEEE Std 80 IEEE Std 1100, IEEE Std 837; the norms used for electrical equipment landing are the NEC 2011, IEEE Std 142, IEEE Std 80 IEEE Std 1100; technical and financial feasibility, and finally, the conclusions and recommendations of the project. The theory for this project is on chapter one, in which all the necessary concepts, norms and standards TIA / IEEE, are defined; there is also considered the useful recommendations that help develop the project. Chapter two discusses the current status of the Data Center and its electrical systems, such as the building of the Cooperative Construction Trade and Production. The project technical proposal is done, based on the above detailed rules, considering essentials aspects as: location, design, electrical systems, and electric systems protections. The analyses of benefits from electrical, electronic systems, protections, as well as cost vs. technology analysis can be obtained from the restructure proposal of the Data Center.
