Sumario: The extrusion process has been used for the treatment of polymers, plastics and different types of materials to obtain continuously determined objects. The present project has focused on the automation of PVC extruder for the manufacture of vinyl sealant used in the area of window construction and structures. The need for the company Indestal to implement an extrusion system has been the subject of this work. With the knowledge acquired at the Salesiana Polytechnic University, an electronic system is designed to control and monitor the process. For which a PLC is used that commands all the required orders for a suitable processing of the material manipulating the variable temperature, based on this will develop the automation of the equipment. New stages are added complementing the extrusion system. The characterization of the obsolete extruder is carried out, improving the mechanical system increasing the homogenization of the process. The monitoring and control of the nickel is performed through a PLC and HMI or touch screen. The safety board that complies with safety regulations is redesigned.
