Sumario: Automated welding can be categorized as the synergy between the paths prescribed by the weld, controlling the flow of material through autonomous systems. This project seeks to combine engineering and manufacturing processes, which enhances our society, with a view to productive and sustainable development. The present work presented as: "Mechanical analysis of a welding positioner for the FCAW process", aims to focus a manual rudimentary method, towards the use of new technologies and autonomous methods. A product is developed that reduces errors, time, increases quality, improves accuracy and reliability in the process applied to cylindrical elements
