Since the oil boom and the consequent burning of fossil fuels, gas emissions that result in the greenhouse effect have increased. Given this viewpoint, the production of renewable energy is necessary; for example, we can take advantage of the potential thermal energy of residual biomass using equipment such as a steam boiler, such devices are in high demand in many processes within the industry.
The use of residual biomass, in this case, from wood waste, are of vital importance in the environment; because, itis a neutral pollutant in the face of pollution from hydrocarbons. Thus, the operation of a steam boiler with biomass aims to deliver the same characteristics as conventional equipment.
The reader will know about: the origin of biomass from wood waste, more commercial sources of wood biomass, the final use of these wastes, and the levels of pollution which biomass produces compared to the petroleum derivatives used in the boiler. The physical and energetic properties which this resource possesses are demonstrated through laboratory tests, with which we will work on the pertinent calculations to be generated in the steam boiler. |
