Based on constructivist foundations of education, Problem Based Learning (PBL) is a methodology that contributes to learning Natural Science Biology and therefore, because it is based on the principle of the construction of learning by the student; from this perspective, different theoretical references that give this contemporary teaching. The Problem Based Learning (PBL) is established as a viable option for building the problems of the traditional teaching of science option. In this sense, grounded in research showing ABP promote thinking skills necessary for meaningful learning content in high school biology is presented. Problem-based learning (PBL) is a method of learning that uses the problem as a starting point for the acquisition and integration of new knowledge. PBL requires students to design a strategy to address a particular problem, search for specific information on it and apply it practically in its resolution, thus stimulating their involvement and participation in Biology. In the development of PBL the problem is the way for students to achieve the objectives of knowledge, skills and abilities proposed in the context of a subject. The ABP focuses on the student, working in small groups, starring a self-learning process where the teacher plays roles like tutor or guide. |
