Cultural expressions are important elements in the history of the province of Pichincha; The present article arose with the idea of observing the construction of collective memory through couples. The ancestral cultural practices promoted by people, educational institutions and the community were studied. The analysis of this work determined the existence of a commitment to preserve the customs and traditions from the Cayambe people. It was important to describe the chanting of the songs of the Cayambeños in the construction of their collective memory, because, the indigenous people years ago, was invisible by social groups of political and economic power, however, sought mechanisms to "endure" and resist forgetting. The idea of this analysis was to compare historical data with the current situation on the role of the couplets in the festivities, the cultural dialogue and interculturality, as well as the preservation of identity traits, through which verses in their composition. This research was qualitative-quantitative since it allowed to understand and deepen the cultural and communicative phenomena studied from an exploration of the reality of the participants, to achieve it, recourse was made to the collection and analysis of data, unstructured interviews, surveys, bibliographic review, summary of the memories of the actors and the information gathered as a result of the observation. |
