Sumario: Music and communication are essential elements in our society, we explore how music becomes the main route of transmission of popular culture by saying that occurs with their senses and communication signifiers that through culture and theatricality categorize songs, this type of identified now the “pasillo” emerge and in wich context Music an indispensable entity when communicating and even more when it comes to feelings, therefore consolidates and manifests the identity of a people especially besides being a source to evoke emotional aspects as any musical genre, is transmitted orally pervading a society that appropriates the genre. Theatricality arises when a person appropriates the song and makes the “pasillo” becomes personnel, and creates an imaginary in which he dramatizes his life, as well as unify that feeling through the lyries, which becomes collective, and appreciated by all, and this is the ambiguous tradition that was inherited to us through music. That's why it is essential to study the “pasillo” from the theatricality to understand our feelings and conflicts that are part of our Ecuadorian society, what makes us different, the “pasillo” poses a different way of feeling, the ambiguity of the music that is the suffering a sublime way, in full hope to learn how these two categories are part of our identity.
