The oil sector is an important source of income for Ecuador, because of their extraction and marketing processes, is a major environmental liability for the government; to reduce the pollution control agencies have enacted various laws and regulations governing specialized environmental pollution. The state must acquire the commitment to environmental protection principles of sustainability, maintenance of environmental quality and sustainable production of oil. In recent decades the extraction and marketing had a major impact on the forests of the Ecuadorian Amazon, which in part was because the central government did not carry out a strict control of the companies engaged in this activity, so most the areas concerned should now be categorized as areas of oil recovery and remediation.
The objective of this work was the improvement of policies and the construction of indicators of environmental management processes proposed by the company Sudamérica Energy Sudamer S.A. To do checklists for each process and thread set for their work and a matrix summary will be conducted to identify environmental deviations. It was determined that the failures are due to lack of staff training and lack of thorough checks on fieldwork for this reason that the improvements to its policies and proposed indicators will be important for the measurement of environmental management, In order to mitigate the impact they produce. |
