Sumario: The present research is directed toward students ' reading comprehension 7th Year of Basic General Education, General CECIB Cacha Yambiro community of St. Joseph Parish Quichinche ,Otavalo , Imbabura Province This study did, because , to observe the work of students in the seventh year of that CECIB , it was determined that there are weaknesses in terms of reading comprehension , the eye is no promotion of reading . On the other hand, it was evident that the work of teachers of seventh year not arouse interest in the culture of reading and addiction to books ; Nor is the help of parents in the process of reading culture.
