Sumario: Calcium is a secondary macronutrient found in the soil in the form of complex, why is not available to plants. To meet the growing needs of this mineral is supplied by lime applied in soils. However, certain microorganisms are capable of solubilizing the soil calcium enabling the assimilation of plants this macronutrient. In the present investigation was isolated and identified calcium solubilizing bacteria from the rhizosphere samples artichoke crop of the town of Laso, amid Pikovskaya Latacunga modified. Solubilzadora ability was evaluated through the diameter of the halo of solubilization obtained in said medium, at 24 and 48 hours of incubation. Furthermore an analysis was performed by atomic absorption spectroscopy to determine the in vitro dissolution of the bacteria isolated by taking samples every 24, 96 and 144 hours in the above medium (liquid).
