Sumario: The design and implementation of the management system for the solid waste management that is generated in the study area, part of the diagnosis that determined the current condition of waste disposal, and allowed the evaluation of the area of study. Therefore, the design will provide sufficient information to promote a technically adequate management of the waste generated in the study area and reduce the environmental impact that the activity can produce. The fundamental objective of the system lies in the constant and definitive search for continuous improvement in solid waste management and management processes. To achieve this objective, it was necessary to characterize the solid waste; Data that showed that the largest volume of solid waste belongs to organic waste, which is why it was proposed in the investigation that such waste be treated by composting; The advantage of performing this practice is; That at the end of the process can obtain better quality fertilizer that could be used in agricultural farms of the boarding school. The 13.5% of recyclable waste determined in the characterization, establishes the possibility of delivering qualified managers, benefiting self-management. An important aspect of the research work was the link with the community, and the implementation of the Management System. For this purpose the Salesian community of Seville Don Bosco was trained in the proper management of solid waste.
