Sumario: This paper deals with the ritual of the procession that takes place in the parish of Pomasqui known as "The Lord of the Tree". In the first part historical and legendary origins of the festival is presented. Stressing that this celebration has a pre-Hispanic origin. Superimposing the Catholic party in early colonial then shows, in the late sixteenth century. In this syncretism are elements of ancestral celebrations and new signs in a scenario playing because of the religious, cultural linked to identity. Finally, the festival is represented as a mobilizing event capable of establishing beliefs, codes and imaginary in the locals and in visitors. Note that the celebration is immersed within different cultural elements from different matrices. There are components ranging between acculturation and identity, due to changes in the socioeconomic and cultural context that has occurred over a history of about five hundred years. For the preparation of this documentary as the procession approached a scenario that plays in the religious, cultural and linked to identity. In this context, it is important to highlight the role played by the Catholic Church in the formalization of the party. After the research was conducted schemes, shooting schedule, story line, and audiovisual scripts based on a communicative and cultural product.
