Sumario: This document is an investigation into the use of waste from cattle. Once the dressing process is completed, the residual bone is considered to be waste, and requires environmental treatment, however, can be exploited in the generation of different products. Thus the information, collects data, considers the use of cattle bone tools available for calcining, the detection of bone specimens and characterization of it after burned. Based on the selected methodology, this paper carried out the iterative process of calcined bone and subsequently several laboratory tests that allowed to obtain data on the mechanical properties modified on calcined products to get bone ashes. Characterization of waste burned was made obtaining relevant observations on the changes in color, compressive strength, and in addition the costs generated in calcining process. Using the selected tool for process corresponding to electric resistances oven was described, it was identified the exposure time and appropriate temperature to get specific properties in calcined bones, mainly for later use as bone meal and compost temperatures.
