There are researches on the use of electromagnetic waves in agriculture, even for analysis of the nutrient’s concentration in the soil. Those researches require the validation of a device that can fulfill the requirements for this task
This paper proposes the design of a ground penetrating radar in order to detect three nutrients in clay soils, such as: nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium; allowing the transmission and reception of radio waves in the time domain through the technical and economic validation of each one of the components that make up a radar based on simulations, researches related to the topic, manufacturer sheets and market availability.
As results presents the appropriate components for each subsystem of radar (transmitter, antenna, receiver, and control unit), graphs of operation, the general plane of the final design of the radar. |
