The following document aims to analyze and review the ISO 9001 standard as a Quality Management tool for Companies that provide logistic services for the Consolidation and Deconsolidation of Maritime Cargo, Transportation and Transportation in the Metropolitan District of Quito. For the realization of the following work will be reviewed the information of the ISO standards in particular with the 9001, we will review the statistical data of the Customs, where you can get all the companies that are dedicated to these services, theses, articles related to the subject, Surveys that are the main point for the different analyzes in the application of this standard, certification and other advantages that have the application of the same, as well as the disadvantages that present the norm in the other companies. The

survey consists of 30 questions applied to 20 companies that are dedicated to the collection of information, to the realization of an analysis that uses tools for the application of the ISO 9001 standard and the ideas for a suitable decision making that benefits the companies who are dedicated to providing this type of service. The application of the ISO 9001 standard can be established and its certification is a way to provide quality and safety to customers, thus opening competitive advantages in the national and international market. We must also take into account that the application of this standard and its certification is very expensive and tedious that does not require carrying out a long batch of procedures that involve investing time and money in the processes of each company. |
