Sumario: Faced with changes that have occurred in the indigenous population of Otavalo, due to factors such as globalization and mobility, the adaptation to a new style of culture is particularly visible in the young people from Otavalo. The new looks that are created in the eyes of non-indigenous, especially the most visible ones that have to do with clothing and hair style, and let go of their native tongue, as changes in culture, are perceptions that make others think they are missing identifying features of Kichwa-Otavalo. That's why it is important to analyze why the representations and construction of these new imaginary, can cause us to change the way we view culture. Through the development of an audiovisual product, which shows the changes in dress code and in customs of the indigenous youth Otavaleños, this research work is directed to show how in the process of communication; through verbal and non-verbal, non-verbal communication remains the main stimulus for someone to think there is a change of culture happening in Otavalo. Therefore the investigation of this subject and the documentary video are intended to make known to the Otavalo public how these new social constructions are affecting or not cultures, especially the Otavalo Indian.
