The current research will address the next subject: Analysis of the encrypted language on Facebook and sexual abuse in young people. For the purpose of analyzing how the encrypted language in young people on Facebook leads to communication gaps which generate new codes of meaning and ways of thinking, that prevent knowing whether or not they suffer sexual abuse.
This is why we try to identify the presence of contents which generate sexual abuse in the encrypted language of young people.
So, the present research proposes three important steps: to determine new ways of communication and a new use of language in young people on Facebook; to identify if the encrypted contents that young people post on Facebook shows sexual violence and finally to know if the communicational gaps caused by the youth’s encrypted language on Facebook prevent deciphering sexual violence.
In this sense, the sexting language is analyzed by becoming an encrypted language that is visualized in the digital platform of Facebook by young people from Quito, to show how new ways of communication or expression have been created that can generate sexual violence in both digital and non-digital environments. |
