Sumario: Globalization and current technology make the world to consolidate more and more, the interconnection and integration that countries have is greater than a few years ago, and it is not expected that the stock market has also undergone changes and updates towards an integration that little by little is covering the whole world. In the present investigation, we analyze the Latin American Integrated Market (MILA) and find the main causes why Ecuador is not part of it and the consequences that this brings to the Ecuadorian stock market, since the trend of market globalization of securities is currently being incorporated, both internally and externally, and Ecuador is not part of either of these, mainly because it is an emerging stock market and because of the scarce culture of saving and investment that has occurred in the country through the years; In addition to analyzing the causes and consequences, a proposal for regional integration is made for Ecuador with Central American countries that have an economy, and securities markets similar to the Ecuadorian one.
