Sumario: The present systematization rises from the demand generated by a mother of family of child with intellectual disability, specifically Down syndrome, that demand was solved by one of the services within a specialist company for Pets, whose branch of Intervention is animal assisted therapy; It was proposed to carry out the project, according to the diagnosis made previously. With a view to generating answers that allow the best development for future project executions, we have seen the need to analyze this experience and recognize what were the structures and dynamics that operated in the creation of this system Therapeutic and that in one way or another they precluded the advancement of the family system towards change. In considering, the project was focused on the development of social skills in a child with Down syndrome, as it was considered that this issue extends beyond the infant and should be addressed to society and the family. The theoretical basis underpinning the analysis of the creation of the therapeutic system in this experience will be from the authors Ackermann & Andolfi (1990) specifically in "The creation of the therapeutic system", and the variables of analysis envisaged are: the demand, Roles and functions, homeostasis, provocation and transformation within the interaction of the different actors (mother, child and family).
