Ecuador is one of the countries in Latin America with the highest incidence of teenage pregnancy, 1 per each 5 women aged ranges 15 to 19 are already mothers, according to the Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Censos (INEC- 2010), Ecuador recorded 122,301 teenage mothers which 75 % of them belong to the economically inactive population.
