Both Quality Management Systems as Models of Excellence are based on the basic principles of Total Quality, today are a valuable tool used to improve the administrative and operational management that increase the competitiveness of enterprises, public or global private.
The DNA Genetics Laboratories of the Attorney General of the State and Vital Cruz SA, have processes and administrative and operational procedures defined and documented, these two laboratories are located in the city of Quito have implemented Quality Management Systems. For the DNA Genetics Laboratory of the Attorney General's implementation of its Management System is based on ISO-IEC 17025:2005, but, to date, this laboratory is not accredited by the OAE. The Laboratory of Genetics Vital Cruz SA has implemented its Quality Management System Certified to ISO 9001:2008, even if these labs have this valuable tool and procedures there are aspects that should be improved as they generate a level of customer dissatisfaction and a major social impact.
Through different research techniques, which were performed in this study as were field observation, interviews and surveys both laboratory officials and customers were able to identify relevant aspects and procedures that a priority should be improved or changed and recommend action plans without laboratories studied made significant financial investment, whose implementation will be possible if you have a strong commitment from senior management, the proposed action plans fourteen allow these laboratories services that are considered quality. |
