Sumario: The objective of this project was to evaluate the ability of Amaranthus hybridus (Amaranth), Beta vulgaris (beet) and Medicato Sativa (alfalfa) in Phytoextraction of lead in contaminated soils. With analysis and testing in the laboratory the best plant species for bioremediation to be effective shall be determined, and the technical aspects to be taken into account for the application of bioremediation. The removal of lead will be quantified by atomic absorption spectrophotometry, which is an instrumental method, which can detect and quantify the most elements of the Periodic Table.
