Sumario: At present the predictive maintenance of electrical distribution transformers is carried out by small companies in the country, manually with trained technical personnel for this work, however, this procedure involves several risks such as burns, falls of great heights and in some cases to death. For this reason, Drones technology and thermography must be implemented as a good alternative to satisfy the need for this problem. Next, a brief description of the capped for the project is presented. In Chapter I, detailed information of the elements used in the described project is presented, presented theoretical concepts; In Chapter II, the implementation of the project is presented from the hardware showing the assembly of the thermal camera in the unmanned aircraft to the software part, the algorithms used in the digital processing of images for the development of the thermographic diagnostic program for electric transformers In Chapter III, the tests and results of the program were taken by taking thermal photographs of different distribution transformers in the south of Quito analyzed by the program developed in Matlab®. In Chapter IV, the recommendations and conclusions of the project are found both in the hardware and software part in the results of the tests and the corresponding analysis.
