Sumario: This work is born with the need to optimize the costs of a textile manufacturing SMEs, applying as a tool to improve the Six Sigma methodology. The paper begins with a brief description of the theoretical debate that allows lay the theoretical basis on which the job will run. Later in the theoretical framework of the diffusion terms that is within the work is done. A statement of what constitutes the DMAIC cycle, the main statistical tools to be used, and the definitions of costs affecting SMEs is then made.
