The corn, (Zea mays) L. is a basic crop in ecuadorian agriculture, which is why the search for environmentally friendly nitrogen fertilization of low cost doesn’t cease to be important. One of these options is the use of bio-fertilizers, for which the nitrogen fixing bacteria Azospirillum sp. can be used.
The objective of this work is to isolate and identify Azospirillum sp. stumps, and evaluate its capacity to provide the nitrogen’s needs in the semi-hydroponic crop, , (Zea mays) L. within the green house.
The samples were collected in some places and were isolated started at the (Zea mays) L. corn root, using a semisolid free from nitrogen (NfB) for Azospirillum sp., and were then identified through morphological and biochemical studies. |
