This project examines Ecuadorians construction's parameters and regulations, NEC-14, and its application to the Aloasí's Cultural Center structural design.
In order to determine and recommend the best option to be executed, comparative analysis between reinforced concrete structure and steel structures is done, as well as, an external loads analysis applied to the building, bearing capacity and construction's materials to be used.
Based on pre design results, becomes an analysis on structural Etabs software.
From a technical and economical point of view, it is concluded that steel structure presents more advantages.
Governmentals regulations as 006 Environmental Ministerial Agreement, that categorizes buildings according to their environment impact, are into account through the Environmental Management Plan, which prevent damages caused by building's constructions. |
