The overall objective of this research was to determine the state's participation in the issue of wheat through the analysis of public policies issued in the course of 60 years in Ecuador. The investigation began gathering information from the year 1949, where the National Wheat Commission which became for many years the governing body of linked issues with this cereal was formed.
The methodology used was documentary analysis. Date by date the contents of the official record, then collect all those agreements, decrees and resolutions issued that were directly related to wheat was reviewed.
The results are reported as the timing and order of presidential terms from 1949 to 2010. Subsequently an attempt to analyze the impacts of these public policies, from the perspective of agricultural sciences, as we understand that to make a real impact analysis should be approached from several specialties that are beyond our scope is made. The investigation is concluded drafting the main conclusions and a few recommendations. |
