The healing effect of the hydroalcoholic extract of the bark of Terminalia amazonia plant species, collected in the Huamboya canton of Morona Santiago Province, by tensiometric method (Howes, Sooy, & Harvey, 1929) on albino mice (Mus musculus was evaluated , Balb C) which was treated with carbopol gels containing 5%, 15% and 30% w / w of dry extract hydro alcoholic;
necropsies by histologic scarring evolution was observed in each of the treatments
comparing the results achieved compared to a negative control group (treatment with carbopol) and the positive control group (treatment with commercial drug). Greater healing effect was observed with the gel to obtain a 30% healing rate 79.3% after three days. |
