Sumario: In Ecuador, among the main milk producers are the cantons of Cayambe and Pedro Moncayo in the north of the province of Pichincha, where high milk production is accompanied more and more intensely by recurrent mastitis problems, especially at the small level and medium producers, which is causing Why for this reason the following research was proposed: determine the prevalence of bovine mastitis and identify etiological agents and resistance to families of antibiotics. When analyzing 389 samples from 5 collection centers and 3 livestock farms, it was diagnosed that 96 were positive to mastitis; the prevalence was 24.16 %; Staphylococcus coagulase negative followed by coagulase-positive Staphylococcus and Yeasts spp; In addition, antibacterial resistance to penicillin was identified with 46.88 % and streptomycin 17.71 %.
