Participation is one of the pillars of democracy constitutes a means through which
the State and citizens relate. To deepen into this relationship, this work addresses the
concept of citizen participation and its incidence in the Ecuadorian context since the
approval of the Constitution in 2008. After focusing on citizen oversight and its
applicable normative, this work analyses a case of oversight in environmental issues
to finally discuss about the merits of the participatory exorcise. |
