The consumption of domestic energy by the use of domestic appliances every day increases in all parts of the planet in an excessive way, affecting the energy sector in the field of meeting demand. For this reason, it is important to use renewable energies that do not affect the environment and have the potential to replace conventional energies; One of the most abundant and easy to take advantage of is solar energy that, depending on its use technology, can be used as solar thermal energy or photovoltaic solar energy.
Because of its geographical position, Ecuador is a privileged country for the use of solar energy and easily accessible for use in both rural and urban areas.
One of the applications of the use of solar energy is absorption cooling.
Considering the problem of electrical consumption and alternative use of solar energy, the design and simulation of a refrigerator per ammonia-water absorption cycle coupled to a solar collector of intermittent type with a cooling capacity of 10 W. is carried out. Through research, study and simulation, with an efficient alternative through obtaining a prototype that reduces the impact of environmental contamination and can satisfy the need for refrigeration in isolated parts of the country.
The result of the main components of the prototype is done through the use of design and simulation software, obtaining conclusions about behaviors of various parameters such as pressures, temperature, speed, etc., as well as engineering concepts. The use of materials under norms allows to guarantee the functioning and correct performance of the system, as well as its elaboration. |
