Sumario: This research article assesses the economic and social impact given the application of the good commercial practices manual for supermarkets and / or similar and their suppliers for small businesses in the food sector within the north of Quito in the period 2015-2017; Analyzing economic data exposed by the Superintendencia de Control de Poder de Mercado about the manual in reference, the same ones that after studying the financial statements of the companies subject to research, were not corroborated, but rather we observe scenarios to the downside showing that although it is true made inclusive efforts for the micro, small and medium businesses sector, these have not been sufficiently efficient and effective to achieve a culture free of monopolies and oligopolies. On the other hand, the social impact of the manual in question has been investigated, resulting in little importance in terms of social variables such as the level of employment and the quality of life of the representatives in conjunction with the organizations involved. For the current research methods of exploratory and descriptive characters are used that are based on the primary sources, which have been analyzed through their qualitative and quantitative aspects.
