The piropo has been studied by various sciences, starting with the literature. Sociology, anthropology and psychology have allowed complement these analyzes. Even to be part of the discussions in various disciplines including law. There are several countries that have implemented legislation on the compliment.
Contemporary studies cover various features of this phenomenon has transformed from its origins to the current practice. Originally the piropo was part of courtship rituals in Spain, where his practice originates, although there are similar forms in other cultural areas.
In addition, due to social transformations since the twelfth century, era in which the origin of the piropo is dated, this has changed and has become a socially accepted practice everyday and has reconfigured its objective. Which it has generated much debate in the social sciences.
So the piropo is a social phenomenon that allows a transverse and multidisciplinary analysis that generally faces the challenge to the question: Women who receive piropo, like it? To answer this question, there have been several academic papers focused on different areas of the components of both verbal and nonverbal content of the piropo.
To complement this discussion, the contribution of science communication becomes essential. Understand the different communication elements of this phenomenon, through the application of theoretical schemes and generate more elements that enrich this discussion. |
