Nowadays, the manufacturing of polyester products is by mean of craftwork, from the few machines that are being imported to the country most of them are used on this purpose. The goals of this project is to build an automatic machine that enables a fast cutting and also complying with the features of the expected product. These EPS (Expanded polystyrene) characteristics are brought to the knowledge of the reader for a further industrial, decorative or advertising use. The mechanical design of the machine is made based on a suitable operation and the quality. Consequently the main systems, the items as well as the materials to be used for the construction have to be set. The machine consist in four main systems: lineal system, transmission system, the engine and the control with a PLC Siemens S7-1200 that allows the engines to rotate step by step. The testing and test will then show whether the design parameters that were suggested from the very beginning have been satisfactory. The development of both the models and plans are made with the SolidWorks 2014 Software. |
